Editorial & Data Methodology

How we source, verify, and update every price band, MRT distance, and ranking on ResidenceShowflat.

Our method in brief

ResidenceShowflat compiles new launch data from developer price lists, official government sources, and on-the-ground consultant knowledge. Figures are cross-checked, labelled as indicative where they are estimates, and stamped with a "Last updated" date. Rankings are based on stated, repeatable criteria — never paid placement.

Where our data comes from

We prioritise primary and official sources, and clearly separate verifiable facts from estimates.

How we verify accuracy

  1. Cross-check — each price band and fact is confirmed against at least one primary source before publication.
  2. Label estimates — indicative figures are marked as such; we never present an estimate as a guaranteed price.
  3. Date every page — a visible "Last updated" date lets readers judge freshness.
  4. Correct promptly — if a developer revises pricing or the government changes stamp duty, we update the affected pages.

How we rank and recommend

When we highlight "best" districts, MRT lines, or projects, the basis is stated on the page — for example, price-per-square-foot value, walk time to MRT, tenure, or connectivity pipeline. Recommendations reflect these criteria only.

No pay-to-rank

Developers do not pay to appear higher in our comparisons or guides. Rankings follow the published criteria on each page, so the same method would produce the same order for any reader.

Editorial independence & disclosure

ResidenceShowflat earns commission from developers when a buyer we assist completes a purchase — the standard model for Singapore new launches, and at no cost to the buyer. This does not change how we present prices, risks, or comparisons. Where a project carries risks, we state them.

Our content is information, not financial advice. Buyers should verify figures against official developer and government sources before committing.

Frequently asked questions

Are the prices on ResidenceShowflat guaranteed?

No. Developer prices are indicative and change with each release and unit availability. We label price figures as bands and stamp each page with a "Last updated" date. Always confirm the latest price with us or the developer before booking.

Do developers pay to rank higher on your guides?

No. Rankings and "best of" lists follow the criteria stated on each page, such as MRT walk time or price value. Paid placement does not influence order.

How often is the data updated?

Guides are reviewed on a rolling basis and whenever a developer revises pricing or the Singapore Government changes stamp duty or ABSD. The "Last updated" date on each page reflects the most recent review.
